Description of 1965 Pontiac Le Mans Tempest

1965 Pontiac Tempest two door Sport coupe 326 3 spee, very original car, when we first got it it was in its original paint (last picture) then we made the difficult decision to rattle can it for the sake of the neighbors, it has zero rust or body filler anywhere on the exterior body panels the trunk floor does have some rust due to Leaky back window windshield also leaks and is pitted but the floors in the car are surprisingly solid 1 pin hole in passenger side toe boar, I do have pictures of the floors with the seats and carpet out. the top of the car is perfectly straight, the hood is perfectly straight except one ding at the very front both doors are perfectly straight but passenger door does have rust inside underneath towards the front, front fenders perfectly straight except passenger side one small ding towards the front, the deck lid also dent free. the engine runs well, no ticking, knocks or smoke even on initial startup, previous owner installed a be cool aluminum radiator, complete exhaust with glass-packs, hoses, brake lines, brake shoes and rebuilt the three speed I had the ball joints and

upper and lower control arm bushings replaced, have not replaced tie rods they seem very tight. runs, drives, shifts, steers and stops extremely well for a car its age I installed new Cooper Cobra tires they don't have 25 miles on them, I also just replaced one rear axle & bearing, another rear wheel bearing still in the box. The interior needs to be completely redon, I do have back seat frames, front seat was originally bench and has been discarded. I found tail light bezel, console and shifter on eBay but have not purchased the three speed conversion adapter cable that is available for it. quarter panels are super straight no rus, no Bondo but passenger side has snag at rear of wheel well, driver side has Scuff at front of wheel wel, I scrubbed the floors (interior and trunk) then treated with rust preventative rinsed with baking soda and repeated, cleaned out inside the doors and rear quarter window area removed kick panel and vents and vacuumed out, they tend to fill up with dirt from the cowl vent below the windshield

Also comes with Edelbrock intake with new gaskets,, new Hooker Headers with bolts & gaskets, pertronix ignition, new rear spring, new front Springs installed with one ring removed, new door seals. has power brakes power steerin, heater works all gauges work. last time I drove it I noticed the needles missing from the speedometer but the odometer works. As long I have owned this car it has never run hot even though it still has the 4 blade fan, decent oil pressure and always use ZDDP MAXX zinc additive when I change the oil, also the only thing I've done is flushed the coolant & brake fluid . rebuilt the carb. new spark plugs, I have not done anything to the distributor and it looks like it even has the original coil. Also the horn & radio does not work. Do have the wipers & all but a P&M from the letters that spell TEMPEST on the quarters

I am sure I am forgetting things so please feel free to ask as many questions as you want and for more pictures

This car is in my name with a clean title. Registration is up to date, also TV Studio Paid my son to use this car in an episode of CSI along with the Maroon Ranchero you can see in some of the pictures. Episode title was "Torch Song". I know this does not add any value to the car, but some people like as much history as possible thanks for looking P.S. Because e-Bay charges $25 a listing, I will only be listing this car one time, sorry
