Description of 1986 Pontiac Fiero SE |
Up for sale is my 1986 Pontiac Fiero Lowrider! This car was featured in Lowrider Magazine in 1997 and on my YouTube channel LegitStreetCars. It's a clean title car that shows 40,000 miles on the cluster and is well known in the Lowrider scene. It was built by the original owner to be a total custom show car with no expense spared. This car has a custom hydraulic suspension that uses one large pump powered by 4 batteries. It also uses multiple large solenoids and 4 switches to adjust the suspension height at each corner. It's everything you'd expect to see in a professionally built lowrider and would cost a fortune to duplicate. Many of the parts of the hydraulic suspension system have been custom painted or chrome dipped and it really shows the amount of detail put into this build. I've featured this famous lowrider in 4 videos and documented its resurrection so I highly recommend you watch the videos in the playlist down below. They will answer many of your questions and you can see the car at every angle including the underbody. After the car sat for a few years it needed some mechanical attention, so to get it running, driving and bouncing again I replaced a few parts. You can watch me do all this work in the videos but, here is the list of new parts. 4 batteries for the hydraulics and one normal battery for the carComplete distributor with coil, cap and rotor.Fuel pump with strainer.Fuel FilterAll 6 fuel injectorsSerpentine beltAir filterClutch Mater and slave cylinder The car currently runs well, drives and the hydraulics were working great as you'll see in the video. By the last video I did start having trouble with the hydraulic pump so that will need a rebuild or replacement. The custom stereo is also working including the subs and this is the perfect beginner lowrider project. The car still needs some work in the cosmetic department and a few odds and ends but the bones are solid and it would be an amazing little project for a lowrider enthusiast. Everything was custom painted including the underbody and hundreds of hours were spent making this one of the most unique cars on the planet. I had a blast working on it and getting it rolling down the street while hitting switches and I know the next owner will love it too. If you've always dreamed of owning a legit lowrider but on a budget, this is your car. The magazine comes with the Fiero so you can read all about it or just email me at legitstreetcars@gmail for more information.
