930 911 Turbo

I'm selling my 1979 Porsche 930, IN 9309800224.  It currently has 146k miles with a clear title and there have been no accidents.  My father bought it in Santa Rosa, A in 1987.  At this time he immediately sent it to Renn-Tech, SoCal Porsche shop in Signal Hill, A to have the slant nose conversion done, color switch to Alpine white, long with engine and other upgrades.  It stayed garaged and well maintained in SoCal until he gave the car to me about 4 years ago. Since then it has mostly sat in my garage in Reno, V as I've only put minimal miles on it to exercise it occasionally, ut I've done a lot of maintenance on it myself.

The car is in great condition, owever it needs an engine rebuild. It seemed like it was low on power since my father gave it to me so on a hunch I took it to a local Porsche shop where they performed a leak down test and they found that cylinder one has 60% leak down from the crank case indicating broken rings.  The only indication of the problem is a lack of power; there is no smoke from the tailpipe at all and it passed smog before I got classic car smog exempt plates.  I was considering doing the rebuild myself but I just don't have the time while raising a family.  So I've decided to sell it.

Upgrades/Mods:

• Slant nose conversion with steel fenders, 30S air dam, nd rear brake slits.
• Color change to Alpine white.  The original color I believe was Talbot yellow.
• SC Camshafts
• K27 Turbo
• Garretson intercooler
• Black interior from '86
• Fittipaldi steering wheel
• kill switch

Maintenance I've done (before I knew about the leak down):

• Full tune up with plugs, ires, ap & rotor, alve adjustment, alve cover gaskets, il change, nd fuel filter
• New oil return tubes
• New driver side cam oil line
• New OE rotors and pads
• New Michelin tires
• New front AC blower motor

Here's what it needs (besides the rebuild):

• New shocks.  They're not completely blown but the suspension is soft.
• AC charge and conversion.  I had it evacuated to do the switch to R134 but it wasn't completed.  I've purchased a Kuehl receiver /drier plus conversion kit that will need to be installed.
• Color sanding on the hood.  My father had the hood repainted to take care of some road rash but they didn't do a great job and didn't color sand it.
• Automatic Heater Control isn't functioning.  I think the motor is broken.
