Description of 1969 Porsche 911

Here for your consideration is a Porsche, 969, 11T. Recently acquired from the estate of the second owner with only 36,333 original miles. This car was sold new at Carlson Porsche in San Francisco, alifornia on May 29, 969. With a production date of April 9, 969. The car was purchased from the original owner on February 26, 974 and stayed in Saratoga, alifornia until present. In 1978 the car experienced chain tensioner failure shortly after a 35,000 mile service at the dealership. As the story goes, he owner was so frustrated, e parked the car on the side of his mother's house in Saratoga, alifornia and it did not move until July, 015. The car sat covered untouched for many years. The owner was always planning on getting to the car but life kept getting in the way. The owner had the for-thought to remove most of the interior and store it in his house out of the elements in the early 80's. In the early 90's, e and his brother decided it was time to restore the car and they de-trimmed it in preparation for body work and rust repair that was necessary due to years of neglect. Then again the project went idle and the car sat in the same spot for many more years. This car needs a complete restoration but it is truly a remarkable piece. All the rust in the car comes from the inside out. There is rust in the front pan, he front suspension pan. the passenger rocker, nd the worst being in the driver outer longitudinal. I think because it was parked so close to a cement house it gathered moisture on that side. Saratoga, alifornia is not a wet area. To say that the rest of the car is damage and rust free is a very true statement. The right front fender and hood were damaged early in its life. The fender was replaced and the front of the car repainted as well as the rear deck lid. This is apparent in the fade you see in the paint, hough every other part of the car wears its original Polo red paint. All I did was wash the dust off the outside of the car for pictures. Up on the rack all the original paint lines are present and look as if I just painted them. I can assure you that they are as they were when they left the factory. No power washing or rattle cans here. It is clear that the passenger fender was replaced due to the fact that it is red on the inside unlike black like the rest of the car is and should be. I documented and photographed every part and I see nothing missing. The interior pieces show wear indicative of its 36,000 miles. The carpets are new, he seats have no wear. Even visors look NOS. I can go on with more superlatives of the car but I believe that the pictures speak for themselves. As per the Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche, he original drive train is intact, ngine number 6196373 and transmission number 7195147. The optional Hamburg radio is present as is the original manuals and most importantly the original warranty book from Carlson Porsche along with other documentation of the car. At the end of the day, his car needs a complete restoration, owever other than the very clear rust repair that is present there are no surprises. The restoration will be very straight forward. You will not be chasing down missing parts or ending up with a non matching car. Instead you will have a remarkable piece of Porsche history. Born in Germany and raised in California its entire life, earing its original black California license plates and Carlson Porsche frames along with the original title that was issued to the second owner in 1974. Please contact me through Ebay with any questions. I have many detailed photos. The car is located in Sonoma, alifornia and inspections are welcome.
