Description of 1972 Porsche 911 TARGA |
1972 911T Targa Online album with 91 pictures -https://picasaweb.google.com/104384934603815286934/72tSilver?authkey=Gv1sRgCPORv9uEtujYCg Runs and drives excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country. "Everything works - even the clock" - this car is ready to use and enjoy now. Numbers matching (per COA) with no rust. 94,666 original miles. Excellent, riginal interior including the original dash with no cracks. This car has been off the road and in dry storage for the past 25 years, t is very original and well preserved. The interior: carpets, ash, oor panels, eats, teering wheel etc. are in "preservation class" condition. Some general patina consistent with a 44 year old car. Complete including: A Very nice original tool kit, ike new owner's manual with wiring diagrams and dealer locator, pare wheel/tire and jack. $25,000 recently spent on full mechanical refresh including rebuilt mfi pump, ngine, ransmission and brake system.Engine, ransaxle and brakes were rebuild by renowned Porsche shop Rothsport, ork completed November 2015.Mahle 2.2E pistons were used which raises compression from approximately 7.5:1 to 9.1:1 which makes for a fantastic running and higher performance 2.4 "t" motor.Dyno test results (available) showed 160hp. Build sheet/invoice for engine and transmission rebuild and dyno test results available to interested parties. Feel free to contact Jeff Gamroth at Rothsport Road & Race to discuss the engine etc Disassembled and painted 25 years ago but not reassembled until we got it a year ago. Paint looks good and is OK, ut there are signs of touch-ups here and there. A car you could be proud of at Cars and Coffee type events, ut car is worthy of a show quality respray to go the Concours route if thats your preference. Factory 1972 "Comfort Kit" option: Leather Steering Wheel, Instruments, elour Carpets, ront and Rear Sway Bars,Wide Rubber Deco Trim, luminum Rocker Trim & Rubber Faced Bumper Guards. Full set of Five 1972 dated Fuchs 6X15 wheels. Correct and brand new (Interstate Battery) dual battery system. Records for recent parts and labor totaling close to $30,000, o prior records available. Rust free, he front suspension pan was professionally and correctly replaced some time in the past, o doubt the original part succumbed to battery acid, common issue with these cars. Has period correct, ealer installed air conditioning. The compressor and condenser etc. have been removed but are included in the sale of this car. The under dash vent unit is in great shape, his and the evaporative system in the smugglers box are still installed in the car.. The radio is period correct but most likely a dealer or owner added item. Rear defroster switch lights up in both positions, ut we haven't had the right weather conditions to test the system. Clear Oregon title in my name.Factory VIN stamped in the body and on the aluminum tag under the hood. The sticker on the left door B post is also in excellent condition. The tag on the windshield post is missing, robably misplaced while windshield was out for repaint 25 years ago. Was not an issue at our DMV since other three VIN's are present. Tires look good but are of unknown vintage and will most likely need replacement...we didnt do this because of possible International buyers and the fact that the new owner may want to pick their own brand and tire size etc. Please ask questions before you bid. Inspection of car is welcomed before you bid. Car is sold in "As Is" condition with no warranties, xpress or implied. |
