1983 911SC chassis, 3.0L, rotisserie restoration

The restoration process of this remarkable 1973 Porsche RS Tribute began with a rust-free 1983 911SC body, which was stripped to bare metal and painted the correct ‘73 RS Gulf orange.

All graphics are brand new and were sourced from California GP.

The restoration includes an original ‘73 dash front panel and gauges marked in kilometers; original ’73 fascia, knee pad, and oil filter; a newly refurbished ‘73 steering wheel; original ‘73 side mirror and door handles.

Additional features that contribute to this car’s originality are its period correct front rubber mats; new period correct RS door panels; refurbished ‘73 rear grill and 2.7 badge; new period correct seats finished in period correctblack vinyl; new period correct door seals; new light weight carpet; new H 4 headlights w proper chrome trim; and refurbished Fuchs with Michelin tires and silver center caps.

Features that bring the car up to date in terms of performance are its newceramic coated headers and sport 2 mufflers; new suspension, shocks, brakes, and rotors; new correct rear lid tie downs; new windshield gaskets; new wiring; new headliner; all refinished chrome trim; upgraded sway bars, correct e-brake boot, and hood props.

Completing this rotisserie restoration is its complete engine rebuild. $12,000 investment completed 500 miles ago. This process included the rebuild of the ’73 transmission and the completion of a properly detailed engine bay.
