This Porsche has been meticulously maintained with genuine Porsche parts. No performance modifications have ever been made. Never abused or used on a track. I retired 10 years ago and purchased from another retiree in 2003. Over two years were spent searching for a low-mileage unmodified late-model 944 Turbo before finding this one. Ihave owned three 944's and have not seen a nicer 944 Turbo I would rather own. -Engine runs and performs like a new vehicle.-Steering, suspension, handling are all very tight like a new vehicle.-The air conditioning blows COLD and is running R12 without leaks or anymaintenance issues.-Dash has no cracks or flaws.-Carpets are all like new. MAINTENANCE: @ 36,795 miles (9/28/2016)New:-Exhaust manifold studs (8) were removed and replaced with all OEM Porsche parts. Cylinder head was removed to perform the work properly.-Cylinder head gasket.-Exhaust manifold gasket-Intake manifold gasket-Timing belt-Balance shaft belt-Timing belt roller-Intermediate gear$3,610.01 (02/12/2016)-DieHard Gold DH GP 48 N battery @35,000 miles (03/09/2006)-Bridgestone tires, 225/50ZR16 RE750 and 245/45ZR16 RE750 @ 34,936 miles (03/01/2006)-Fuel pump relay-Motor oil @ 34,936 miles (02/28/2006)-Water pump-Radiator hose-Coolant hoses-Coolant NOTES: The Bridgestone tires have under 2,000 miles on them with no visible cracks or cracking, however it is recommended they be replaced solely due to age. The original factory air compressor makes noise at idle, however not objectionable. I have been told by a Porsche mechanic this is not uncommon. The compressor is fully functional. Previous owner installed a cell phone in vehicle. All traces of installation have been removed with the exception of antenna that is visible on roof. Since the vehicle paint is original I elected not to remove antenna and re-paint roof section. STATISTICS: 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo production was 4,097 total with 1,969 allocated to the USA. This Porsche is in truly exceptional condition both outside and inside! I have not seen a more desirable late model 944 Turbo for sale over last fifteen years.
