Description of 1974 Porsche 914 |
Original Original !! My 1974 Porsche 914 is finally for sale. I purchased this vehicle way back in 1981. and it has been loved as part of the family ever since. I have had a hard time even thinking about letting her go. but the time has come. as I need the money. So here we go. a little bit of history about my girl. Way back in May 1981. the first owner from northern California sold me the car with only 30. 00 miles on her. My father paid for the car. and I paid him back with weekly paychecks for a couple of years. In 1984 I was finally able to give the car her first and only repaint. in the original Silver color. And as you can see in the pictures. the 31 year old paint job still nice and shiny. For the last 20 years or so. the 914 has only been driven on an occasional nice weekend. and then back in her garage. The car has been garaged from the first day I owned her. Nice solid rust free vehicle with all matching #'s will come with a certificate of authenticity from Porsche of North America. With only 75. 76 original miles this car runs excellent. The interior is all original. including the radio. and all is in excellent condition. as you can see in the photo's. The rear trunk has the original jack. and all carpets are original. All the glass is original to the vehicle. including the Windshield! (very rare) The car will come with 2 roofs. the origiinal Targa Top. and a very rare 1970's original Saratoga Top. pictured. I have the original Dealer Books/Manual. and a binder with a history of the car. with an old Polaroid of the car from the 1980's. a copy of the original Pink slip from 1981. that I just turned in. to finally get the address changed. and to update the car at the DMV. The new Pink Slip/Title shows that this is an original miles car) all in the same binder and included in the sale. Then 2 separate binders from 1985 and 1992. that include information on Porsche Club events that the car had been included in. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a truly rare Appearance Group Porsche 914. that has been truly loved. mechanic owned (me). and is as original as you can find. with very low mileage. The winner of this auction will be the 3rd owner and will love this car as I have for these last 34 years! I welcome European Bidders! The winner agrees to pay $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. with the remaining amount due. via bank wire transfer within 7 days of auction end. I can store the car for up to 2 weeks. until the winner can arrange the pick up of the car with their shipper. As far as shipping the car is concerned. that would be the winners responsibility. I can meet with your shipper. when the car is picked up in the Palm Springs. California area. GOOD LUCK! :) |
