Porsche 914 Targa

I am relisting at a reduced price, because as they say in the real estate business - "the seller is motivated". I am hoping that someone will appreciate the value of this 914 - I've dropped the reserve price $4000... So start bidding!
My 1974 Porsche 914 Targa is Phoenix Red with black interior. The paint is a new respray in 2015 and trim is original and some pieces show wear. All glass and lights are are in good order. Electric motors for retractable headlamps function properly. New 165R15 rubber all around (including spare) on alloy wheels that are true and balanced. The body is solid and straight. Black targa roof is square and water tight.

From the factory, the car was a 1.8 liter. The previous owner installed a 2.0 motor. Engine has dual Weber carburetors and runs strong. Split case has a minimal oil leak that is more of a nuisance that a problem. New battery, starter and relay. New front brake calipers and all new struts and shocks.

The interior was redone with new carpet, seats (including bottom and lumbar electric heat), door panels and dash cap. The instrument panel with its VDO gauges is in great condition - Speedo rebuilt in 2016 and odometer reads 56733 miles. Center stack has working clock, voltage and oil temperature gauges. Aftermarket Alpine AM/FM stereo with CD player and detachable faceplate.

I use it as my daily driver in three seasons (it lives in a heated garage in the winter) but could easily be a show winner. I am happy to provide additional photos and answer any questions. The 914 is without a doubt a blast to drive with it's nearly perfect weight distribution. Prices are going up and this is a great opportunity to get into the Porsche club.
