Description of 1980 Porsche 928

1980 928 Euro S 5- speed, NO reserve!
This lifelong Arizona car was brought over by an Army Colonel originally serving in Germany, in the mid 1980’s...I actually found its original US Army license plate under the floor mats, that matches the window sticker!(check out the photos)
It resided in AZ until a few months ago, when I began bringing it back to its former glory. It carries a clean Texas title and is in my name.
For those of you who are 928 afficinados...YES, this is the coveted 300 horsepower uncatalysed Euro S. Matched with a 5 speed, and Oakgrun Metallic paint, its a rare find...look around, there are no more than a handful for sale in the US at any given time. The top end performance on the 16v S is just incredible, and matched with the lower ratio gearbox it matches the performance of a later S4...personally verified :)
Highlights:-Life long Arizona car= No rust!!-Later S4 Staggered 16” Wheels (originals included too!)-New Fuel pump, filter, vacuum lines-Fresh Fluids-Original Euro Exaust still intact-No warning lights on dash of any kind-Engine runs cool and steady with good oil pressure and no idle fluctuation-New Shifter Couplings-AC works, just converted and is ice cold!!-Windows, stereo, horn and exterior lights work

Needs/Issues:-The interior is tired, could use seat/steering wheel reupholster and dash work per usual...a deep interior clean would do wonders-Sunroof Doesnt work, rear wiper not working-Headlights occasionally pop as they should, other times not...relay is thought to be the culprit-Occasional Hesitation when warm, thought to be fuel pressure accumulator-Mileage is of course TMU, as the odometer was swapped to miles at some point. Mileage stands at 54802 but per usual 928-ness...gear is most likely broken.

As it stands today, I would rate this car as a “light restoration” or “good driver” with a little more work. That said, this is a 38 year old car with normal wear and tear that you’d expect, but it’s a true survivor.
