Description of 1964 Porsche 356 SC Coupe |
1964 Porsche 356 SC Coupe Project, VIN 218617 Engine 821344 Here we have a true SC Coupe. The SC is seen as the final refinement of the 356 line, the best they ever made in terms of driveability. This car left the factory is stunning Bali Blue (paint code 6412). The engine that is in the car is not the original but it is an SC engine, so period correct. Restoration work has begun with new floors installed, as well as some outer body work. More work will need to be done before you can start thinking of parking on the grass at the next concour, please look closely at all the pics to see the work that still needs to be done. The front boomerang piece needs to be installed but is included (pictured). The engine does turn over nicely by hand but we have not attempted to start it. One ironic thing I noticed upon looking at the Kardex is that the car was sold originally in Albany, NY, just a few minutes up the road from here. You can also verify all the Factory Build info on the provided scan of the Kardex or Factory Build Sheet. Everything that is included is pictured.SC projects rarely come up for sale these days and Bali Blue ones are even more rare so if you've been looking for a project with some of the heavy lifting done, this might be the car for you. Also, like most of our auctions there is a very reasonable reserve so if you want the car, bid and there is very good change it could be yours. Don't miss out! Clear title and ready for export. I am a 356 and Early 911S Registry member with an eBay Feedback Rating of 100%, so bid with confidence. Please ask any and all questions, they will be answered quickly and honestly. Please see our other auctions here for more hard to find Porsche parts, or shop the Unobtanium Store for even more Porsche parts and restoration supplies! |
