Description of 1972 Porsche 911 |
This is a highly modified Porsche 911 rebuilt from the tub up as the ultimate open-class track and street monster. In brief, it's a 72 coupe, rebuilt 930 trans, gigantic 996 Turbo brakes, custom coilover suspension, welded-in full cage properly tied into strut towers, overbuilt cooling system, custom 17x10" and 17x13" wheels and huge fenders to run massive tires.Custom widebody in an extra-muscular RSR style that's still classic Porsche without all the RWB scoops and cuts.Engine is a V8 giving you basically the same power/weight balance as a 930 but in a platform that's more reliable, has a higher power ceiling, and is much more affordable to campaign. Stripped body weighs about the same as a Miata. Mechanically done but cosmetically incomplete: interior is stripped and the 'white paint' seen in photos is not paint, it's primer. Clean title in hand, currently registered (and street legal) in California, where it is smog exempt. Car is totally driveable and is used for the occasional trip down the coast. It has not been tracked or raced yet, despite being built for exactly that. This car is a four year longprofessional/shop-build, not a shade-tree project. Reserve price is less than cost of the parts alone. It's now ready for a new owner that will see the last few steps through to completion.Car is located in San Francisco, California, USA. [>] BUILD LIST ENGINE: ZZ4 SBC V8, built for this street and track for this car specifically, with aluminum heads and Demon carb. Engine dyno'd at about 400 hp / 440 ft-lbs (crank estimates).
