Description of 1966 Replica/Kit Makes |
DUE TO A NON PAYING BIDDER. AM RE-LISTINGToo many projects so i'm thinning the herd. Very Rare Fiberfab 1966 Aztec GT Kit Car. I purchased the car in it's current state with the intent of doing a restoration. The car is sitting on a VW pan and powered with a 6 cyl. Corvair motor. When I first got it I put a battery in it gave it a shot of ether and it fired. I tried to fire it again but the starter turned slow and sounded kinda weak. I didn't bother with it after that because I figured it was all coming apart anyways and I will rebuild it then. The body overall is very nice and not busted up. It was built in the 70's and is still wearing it's crazy 70's paint scheme. Someone started priming it for a repaint. I wiped alot of it off with lacquer thinner. The cockpit hinges are original and it fits very well. The hood tilts and fits nice also. All the glass is good and the tracks for the side windows are in place. The windshield and taillights are mid year Corvette i'm guessing. The vintage E-T aluminum slots are in good shape. The fiberglass seats are good but one will need recovering. There is one original door panel that is decent. the other one will have to be made. I do have the air lift ram and motor for the cockpit cover. not sure if it works but it looks ok. The floorpan will need a little attention but overall not too bad. The car has been sitting since the 70's and the brakes will need a going over. The wiring was in a box when I got the car and honestly I would use a new harness. I have no idea of the condition of the motor or transaxle other then the fact it did fire up once. This car is a project but overall a very simple one. This body style is very desirable and a hard one to find. The car is being sold as is and I reserve the right to end the auction early because it is for sale locally. There will be a $500. 00 nonrefundable deposit due within 3 days from the end of the auction in the form of cashiers check or money order. The balance will be due in the form of cash. cashiers check or money order before shipping or at the time of pick up. Shipping is easy. You can pick it up in western NY.
