Description of 1966 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow |
Rolls Royce 2 Door Coupe 1 of 13 built in 1966Built byMulliner Park WardThis car was delivered new byH. R. Owen Ltd., Berkeley Street London W1 to Lt-Col. R. Seifert of R. Seifert & Partners. Ltd., on 21-04-66. He built some of the tallest buildings in England. After Richard Seifert's use, it was then sold to an Oklahoma oil man who used it until 1983 then stored 34 years, until it's recent move to Houston Texas. According to the records I received . It is the 13th and last one delivered in 1966. but it is titled as a 1968. It also has a very rare full opening sunroof. It is only showing 36,523. miles. The interior is amazing, The only wear on the original Wilton wool carpets is around the heal pad on the drivers side. The seating surfaces have very little wear and the rear seat looks like new and it is still soft. The door panels are excellent and even the elastic on the pockets are still as new. The beautiful wooden dash and tops of the door panels show no signs of cracking or other blemishes. The original color is "Regal Red" butis in need of a respray in as the upper surfaces of the car appears to still have it's original paint that has cracked in multiple places and both sides show signs of being resprayed. The only rust found is a small spot at the bottom of the left front fender and the inside bottom of both rear quarter panels (about one to two inch wide area on the bottom of both inner panels). The outer bottom of both quarters are very solid. The rocker panels and floors are very solid. The engine appears to be stuck, we have tried to turn by hand after lubricating the cylinders with a special oil but to no avail.
