We bought this car at Shoreline Saab in Old Saybrook, Connecticut in 1994. As we lived in Manhattan, we rented a garage near the end of the subway for use of the car weekends and vacations. In 1997 we relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma with help from the large hauling capacity of the hatchback and the roof rack. The car has been serviced regularly by Autohaus Unlimited,Tulsa, and we have all the records as well as the original owners' manual and the Saab/Clarion audio manual. Also, we have an original sales brochure from Saab-Scania which advocates "forget the V-8" and "forget the station wagon". This car is a three door hatchback, with a 4 cylinder turbocharged engine with double overhead camshafts, 4 valves per cylinder producing 160HP, coupled with a five speed manual transmission and front wheel drive. It has a sunroof, heated front seats, Yokohama tires, and Thule roof rack with two bike clamps. We removed the AC belt rather than replace the compressor. New brakes, rear hatch struts and alternator(2015). New headliner, new drivers seat, new windshield. Some dings, scratches and so-on come with the 230,550 miles. We have owned nine Saab cars, starting with a 1968 Saab 96 (V4), and we still have a 1997 Saab 900T. For many years this one has had 'light duty', mostly local driving. If you think these cars are interesting, don't miss the current Swedish movie 'A Man called Ove' (with English subtitles-- take a handkerchief).
