I purchased the car from a gentleman in San Jose, California that had owned the car and garage stored it for over 35 years. When he had purchased the car the transmission had already been changed from the original automatic to a manual 4 speed. That previous owner wanted his Shelby to have a 4-speed manual transmission (I get it). This last year I upgraded the carburetor with a Holley Sniper EFI and the Holley Hyperspark ignition distributor. I wanted the car to start easily and run smoothly, and it does. I also had the car professionally repainted with the original Acapulco blue and the stripes are painted. This is one of the few cars with real painted stripes, no stickers on this car.
