Description of 1955 Studebaker Champion

Here is a 1955 Studebaker Champion! The photos and video (which can be seen on youtube as Starting up the Studebaker!)of it starting up and running were taken 3/23/2016. In the video you can see that the brakes and blinkers work. There is no air conditioning, seat belts or power steering. This was my Grandpa's last project he was working on, but he left it to my son and it has been sitting in the driveway for too long. We are selling it because my son just got his first driveable car and the Studebaker needs to have an owner who can restore it. (Grandpa did suggest black cherry paint, that would be beautiful, but I'm sure it will be awesome with any color you choose!). I took the (Kansas) title to DMV and the lady said it is ready to be signed over to a new owner as I never signed or registered it here. One thing I see is that the VIN on the title is the serial number, but with a number 1 instead of an I. The photo album I have shows photos from when Grandpa purchased it in Kansas from an elderly lady who had it in her garage up until after some body work and the priming was done, which the new owner can have if you want it. As you can see it has rusted some, the right headlight is a bit uneven, and she needs new tires. The new battery was purchased the second week of this March, so it's new and costed about $137.00. There are wrapped trim accessories and such in the trunk that also go with the car. A few years ago when this was shipped from AZ to us in NY it costed $800, so you will have to look around for a shipper if needed, but maybe that will give you an idea of the cost. Let me know if you have any questions at all and I'll do my best to answer them! When this car leaves the driveway I truly wish it will be going to someone who will love Studebakers as much as my Grandpa did. Thank you, Breeana and Skyler
