1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk for sale in our Tampa Showroom. This Silver Hawk is one of only 7,788 built in 1959,, making it pretty rare! This particular example has been restored and modified with a Chevy 350 CID V8, Chevrolet automatic transmission and Pearl White paint. The interior has been redone with red cloth and white vinyl and it looks great! With only 1,000 miles since rebuilt, this Stude has a lot of life left in it and is ready to make it's next owner proud. When the interior was redone they also added new gauges. The fins in the back that are normally bolted on, were welded on for a cleaner look and to be stronger. In 1959 all other Hawk models were removed and the Silver Hawk was the only one left standing. 1959 Was Studebakers first profitable year in 6 years thanks to the Lark and Silver Hawk. Changes for 1959 included new tailfins, with the "Silver Hawk" script moved to the fins instead of on the trunk lid (where new individual block letters spelling out STUDEBAKER were placed), with a new Hawk badge in between the two words. The parking lights moved to the side grilles from the front fenders, chrome moldings around the windows (from the 1953-1954 models) similar to the Golden Hawk were added, and the interior was somewhere in between the two former models' levels of luxury. Two-tone paint was discontinued for all U.S. orders, though it was still available for export.
