This stunning coral-color 1955 Studebaker Commander K-series starts, runs, steers/tracks straight, stops and drives like a much more modern car than its vintage. A California car, an older restoration that has since been mechanically upgraded and trouble-shooted. Extremely straight body, good paint, excellent chrome, interior in excellent condition. The car attracts attention and positive comments everywhere it goes - people just flip over this car! I have driven at 75 mph on Los Angeles freeways for an extended period with no problem. It has power steering, front disc brakes, front sway bar, radial tires, new master cylinder, new rear brake shoes, new brake light switch - the brake system is better than the original equipment. All rubber around the doors have been replaced some time ago. The car has automatic door locks with a modern alarm system. Modern aftermarket Air Conditioning and a new aluminum radiator have been added to aid in cooling. The car has an Edelbrock carburetor and modern ignition to aid in driveability. The radial tires are newer, suspension is properly aligned, all front end bushings have been replaced and this car steers, tracks and stops straight and true under braking. The starter is good and the battery was replaced just a few months ago. The car even has a hidden four-speaker CD sound system that sounds great. A really fun car that draws crowds & comments everywhere it goes. Car is in excellent vintage condition, drives great. Car may be viewed in the Los Angeles, California, area - please request all info by telephone. I prefer telephone conversations for questions and purchase arrangements, please call (818) 649-1150.
