Description of 1948 Studebaker Commander |
1948 STUDEBAKER There is a world of difference in these old cars. This is a good one (solid). It is out of a once car collection. His only car and got all of his attention. Well taken care of! Car was kept indoors for biggest part of its life...and it shows. Come look it over. Drive it until you are car sick. It's all numbers matching with 3 speed tranny and as most I have seen it has the overdrive. Exhaust is very good. It is a joy to drive. Never wrecked. paint is very pretty, repainted once in its life. Car needs very little to be perfect. Only thing I have found wrong is broken trunk handle. It is here and will need repaired or replaced, to make car perfect. Tires are very good, all window glass is very nice. Car has plenty of chrome all is good driver quality. The visor adds a neat look and is same color as car. This navy blue may be and looks to be the original factory color. The interior is redone really nice. sets the car off. seats are well padded refinished as is refinished as is the carpet and the headliner. The dash is awesome all factory original double sharp. Windshield wipers work. radio makes static not much music. Has a knob under dash that says antenna?? Also a Studebaker tag that says paint is enamel midnite blue. New battery also original Studebaker VIN tag. Good clean title. If you need shipping call our friend at McElley transport. He is good and lives close and has shipped a bunch of cars for us, professional, bonded and insured.
