Up for auction, a well kept and very presentable 1949 champion regal. This car has a flathead inline 6 cylinder (4k miles since full rebuild) and 3 speed overdrive transmission. The column shift functions nicely, and the clutch is strong. The paint is deep, with a mirror like shine, but does have some imperfections. (refer to yellow circles in photos) Complimenting the black paint and plentiful chrome, are silver hand painted pinstripes. The gray cloth interior has been restored and is in nice shape. This sedan is undeniably classy with "suicide doors" whitewall tires and body lines that can only be found in vehicles of this era. This car runs and drives nicely, and is used occasionally to go to local shows. It does have couple of issues that will need attention to keep it safe in modern traffic. Needs; front wheel cylinders, tires are beginning to dryrot from sitting, and the driver side front window is cracked. It also has a small exhaust leak. This is a very clean and solid example that could be taken to show quality with little expense.
