1987 Supra Mark III Turbo Targa Roof
1987 Supra Turbo Mark III - Original Pearl White Special order paint Optional Removable Targa Roof and 5 speed make this already a RARE modern classic. A true survivor thats never been modded or any evidence of it being smoked in. Adult owned and driven by a 50+ yr old local Dr who never had any problem fixing anything on the car when there was an issue mechanically. This car comes with a mound of invoices showing everything from oil changes reman motor installed in late 2000s. That said, he reman motor done by a Toyota Dealer has about 10k miles on it !! Clutch as too is new. The 1 owner was a NON SMOKER too ! This car has all the right boxes checked for a true find. DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, pparently some people who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules. So if you have under 10 feedbacks, ll be emailing you if you bid to make sure you are legit, f we do please reply or we will cancel your bid. Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!! These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition that are still affordable to most buyers. IF YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THAT 1 MARK III SUPRA TO BUY LOOK NO FURTHER, HIS ONE CAN BE BOUGHT FOR A MUCH LOWER PRICE THEN WHAT IVE SEEN OTHERS HERE ARE ASKING FOR AND MUCH NICER TOO. OUR PRICES ARE REALISTIC !! This car has lived all its life in AZ and some summers in Idaho Comes ith the original window sticker when it was bought from FANN TOYOTA in PHX AZ. DRIVETRAIN: this car has had all the normalmaintenanceand repairs fixed as needed since it was new. The odometer currently reads aprox 129k on it. Invoices show repairs done over the yrs like rear diff carrier bearing / clutch jobs / new ECM / over the yrs. In 2007 the original motor threw a rod at about 116k on it. An inv for almost $8000 shows where a Toyota dealer in Idaho installed a reman engine by ATK, long with a new clutch, URBO and many other new pars needed at the time. Aprox 2 yrs later that motor also had issues, o in 2009 it was replaced under warranty at the cost of about $3k for parts / labor etc. That motor has about 10k miles on it and is currently in the car and runs great. Its been driven from Tucson to ID and all around with no issues. On and around the motor are many other related new parts installed under the hood at that time too. Invoices are included showing all thats been replaced. In a nutshell the motor runs and drives great, tock boost feels great, lutch works well as does the factory 5 spd shifter, long with a nice working rear limited Slip diff. INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, he interior of this car is in really nice shape for its age. Driver seat shows most of the wear as does the factory leather wrapped steering wheel, ut rest of the interior is in really nice shape. It could probably use a vacuum run over it some. I doubt the rear seats ever been used much. The car was garaged at home and while he was at work too, nd has window tint since 87 all around, o it has held up pretty well over the yrs. Personally I would strip the old tint off soon and leave it factory for a stock look again (or re tint it with some nice new tint would make the car nicer) The car shows better then normal wear and tear and some sun fading. All the factory gauges, ights and factory radio work great. Fold down back seats are nice too. AC works great and the removable Targa top is a really cool option ! Doors shut nicely and tight, hile all the PW and power accessories Seem to work well still. Check out the spare, dont think its ever been on the ground. EXTERIOR:you are looking at the original factory Pearl white paint from 1987. It shows great in the pics but of course in person you can see some flaws and chips around the car. Last yr the owner backed up and creased the dr side door area with the rubber bumper of his Suv. He decided not to have it fixed because of the cars age and its wasnt that bad for a daily driver. The finish on the factory 16" wheels is also in decent shape, ut keep in mind they are over 25 yrs old. The cars body never been modded either and garaged most of its life. For the most part youd be hard pressed to find a Supra Turbo this clean for what our reserve is. You wont find ANY ROT or rust on or around this car other then minor surface rust underneath in a few spots. Pass side mirror has some damage.
SUSPENSION:the suspension feels tight and rides great. Driving it around I hear no clunks or weird noises. Receipts do show a new steering rack was installed about 5 yrs ago along with tie rod ends. I also saw a invoice for new ball joints too. This car came factory with the Electronic Adjustable Suspension too. The previous owners biggest pet peave was oil leaks and anytime he noticed a leak it went right in to the repair shop to get it fixed. Many hoses and fluid lines have been replaced in aprox the last 6 yrs and under the car is super clean and very rust free thanks to the Az climate. Brakes feel good too and the ABS was a $900 rare option back in 1987. Under the car to me looks almost new so make sure you check out all the pics below so you can see what we see. Tires are almost new and havegreat tread all around. These cars do handle really well and cruise down the freeway like they own it. Check out ALL the pics below ----->
it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a slow connection, o be patient AND looks for the extra scroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.
