Description of 1990 Toyota Celica Gt4 |
No reserve!!!! A total of 2,500 ST185 made it to North America and even fewer in the USA. Low Mileage! and Rare! More Pics:http://gifyu.com/album/J8 Youtube of the car running:https://youtu.be/8CRVMxT1hP8 From wikipedia; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Celica_GT-Four The Toyota Celica GT-Four is a high performance model of the Celica Liftback, with a turbocharged 3S-GTE engine, and full-time AWD. It was created to compete in the World Rally Championship, whose regulations dictate that a manufacturer must build road-going versions of the vehicle in sufficient numbers. These vehicles are referred to as "homologation special vehicles". The Celica GT-Four came in three generations; ST165, based on the fourth generation Celica, and manufactured between October 1986 and August 1989; the Super Round shape ST185 produced from September 1989 to September 1993; and ST205 was built from February 1994 to June 1999. ST185 won 16 full WRC series, and 3 overall winner in the W2L series. WRC Driver's Titles with Carlos Sainz in 1992, Juha Kankkunen in 1993, and Didier Auriol in 1994. WRC Manufacturer's Titles in 1993 and 1994. Selling my car that my dad bought from his friend back in ~2008 with ~111k miles. It's had its share of problems during my ownership but they've been addressed like water pump, radiator +hoses, spark plugs, head gasket. I really liked this car and would've loved to keep it but I just don't have the time to work on it. Would love to see it go to an enthusiast who would give it the attention it deserves! VIN: JT2ST88P9L0004514 Clean Title. Current status Currently the car is running great except the TVIS(the one that controls boost in gears 3+) is disconnected. Was planning to install a Greddy Boost gauge and Twos R Us MBC but never got to it. Motor internals are stock. This was my college DD (highway miles). Turbo: Features the CT20B from newer MR2 years (3rd gen 3sgte turbo) Turbo rebuilt and balanced in 2013 at Performance Techniques in San Bernardino, CA with the steel turbine wheel and is ready for boost! (invoice in hand) https://www.yelp.com/biz/performance-techniques-san-bernardino http://turbocharged.com/upgrade/toyota_upgrade.htm Drivetrain/Exhaust: HKS Silent High Power exhaust (I'm going to miss this!) The combination of the HKS silent high power and the Berk downpipe makes the car sound phenomenal. Berk 3" downpipe (not installed) K&N Air Filter(not installed)- Great for noise like a BOV but loss in low end throttle response. Stock unit works fairly well in my comparison in hot SoCal... Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator -Old original radiator began leaking, replaced. Keeps things cool. Electronics: Kenwood concealed headunit/Rockford fosgate dual amplifier. Came with the car. Had a shop install an auxillary cable for 3.5mm audio input. SMOG concerns: For those that live in California and without smog connections, this car passed smog legally last year. (This year they only asked for registration renewal $). Currently has a intact 3rd 3SGTE cat. Leaking??: Currently do not see any leaks coolant or oil. Just changed the oil out and swapped the oil filter. Problems/Things I'd address: Transmission needs some work done- primarily the synchros. -Shifts Ok but you need to baby it in the lower gears. Power steering needs some work. Rear bumper paint. Overall paint on car is faded (you'll see in the photos) New wheels/ Tires. New shift knob. Scratch on driver side -rear side light. |
