Ok so it does have a few small spots of rust BUT I say no rust because it is less rust than any other non import FJ-60 for sale at this price. Only has a couple small just starting spots in the typical areas of the body that is easily correctable at this stage. The frame has surface rust coloring to some spots but zero cancer, this was a Montana truck up until the last decade where it finally came out to the east coast. Originally sold in Montana the same guy owned it up until my friend bought it in NC about 10 years ago. We have had it over here ever since and it has never let us down. We've probably only put 3,000 miles on it in 10 years, just drove it around the farm on the weekend and that is pretty much it. So yes it has been offroad but that is where it belongs. She has a clear title but we have no idea where it is. Still looking on a daily basis, we clearly remember seeing it, worst case you might have to submit for a duplicate title. I would bid based on us not finding the title, if we do, easier for you. But it does have a clear wreck free title somewhere. Did a few maintenance items to it nothing special, she runs great and drives pretty good considering the 15 year old tires that are on it still. But what do you expect, it's a Land Cruiser. Quite possibly overall the most reliable vehicle ever made. Interior: Interior wise it is basically consistent with a farm truck, drivers seat has a few tears, there is one small tear in the headliner, carpet is trash, but other than that it is fairly original no cracks in the dash from what I can see. Missing a radio we never bothered to put one in but the wiring and speakers are there, missing the drivers grab handle on the door which is pretty common for these and the exterior handle on the drivers door is disconnected. The tach works but the wire is loose at the coil feel free to fix it we never cared not like we are taking it to redline. Everything else works, heater etc.... A/C would work just needs freon as per any 30 year old vehicle. Exterior: Shines really good if you wax it with a coat of 10w-40 motor oil. It is the brownest brown i've ever seen, who needs clear coat? I tried waxing it once just to see what would happen and the paint literally absorbed the wax like I never put it on, it is hungry paint. Has some dings here and there like I said it went off road, front bumper is bent on one side which no joke we put a new bumper on to fix that issue and then hit the same stump again. The chrome rocker trim pieces are long gone. She has no serious rust spots, none on the liftgate, the 2x spots on the rocker are where the trim clip holes are naturally so the hole you see is not from the rust it just started around it. The quarters are in great shape just a couple spots that recently started so easily fixable. Actually shows no wrecks ever in the carfax. Windshield got cracked only a year ago but a turkey no joke. Mechanical: Of course being a Land Cruiser this is where she shines. The story goes that the original owner who had her up to 250k loved it so much they had the original engine rebuilt by a Toyota dealer in Montana. I would believe it because it runs great but needs a valve adjustment on cylinders 5/6 to be perfect. Flat rate dealer techs wouldn't go that far. We put a new weber carb kit on it, new fuel tank, and got rid of the retarded emissions nightmare of vacuum hoses. Truck really woke up after that, starts great idles great, more power, no complaints. Choke is still hooked up. Doesn't smoke, leak, knock, overheat, burn coolant or oil. Trans shifts like butter into all gears, as does the T-Case, hubs lock easily, steering and suspension all works fine, as do the brakes. Could probably use an alignment and some fresh tires the ones that are on it hold air fine but are fairly dry rotted. Battery holds a charge for 6 months at a time no issue. Clutch is good, did a coolant flush and oil change not long ago. I would do some spark plugs and a valve adjustment and move on with life. No exhaust leaks either.
