It is VERY RARE as only 9,236 FJ40 Land Cruisers were built in 1976 !! We recently purchased this FJ40 from the previous 77 year old Montana owner who had owned it since 1996 and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy for sure !! He told us that he was the second owner and the 65,369 miles shown on the odometer are the ACTUAL ORIGINAL miles, although we have no way of proving it. Just look at this thing though !! This FJ40 was PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED in 2015 by Last Chance Land Cruisers in East Helena, Montana. This is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Montana - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western vehicle and it shows! I drove this Land Cruiser for the last several days and I assure you it runs and drives VERY WELL, TOO FUN !! At the heart of this RARE BEAUTY is a VERY STRONG !! - Code "TBD" - GM 350 CID V8 motor that is running VERY WELL. The motor also sports a Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor, Delco-Remy HEI ignition, GM air cleaner housing and GM "Rams Horn" exhaust manifolds. Sounds GREAT too with the true dual side exit exhaust system. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - BULLETPROOF - Code "M-561" GM 4 speed manual transmission that also functions very well and sports a 2 speed HI/LO transfer case that feeds power to the BULLETPROOF - ORIGINAL FJ40 front and rear axles !! The GM "M-561" manual transmission was originally used in the Military M561 "Gama Goat" 6X6 All-Terrain articulating vehicle and is extremely desirable in the Off-Road community due to it's small size and reputation as being robust and virtually indestructible. The - BEAUTIFUL - Original Style Sahara Tan Custom Cloth bucket seat FJ40 interior is in VERY NICE condition including VERY NICE Sahara Tan Custom Cloth front full bucket seats with factory headrests, VERY NICE NEW Black carpeting, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Toyota steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge clusters, Good ORIGINAL Black Vinyl sun visors, VERY NICE Black Vinyl folding rear "Jump" seats and a VERY NICE Black Vinyl dash pad with one crack in the center that has been repaired. All of the black rubber weatherstripping is soft, supple & in NEW condition. The interior floors have also been fully Rhino-Lined during the restoration. This FJ40 Land Cruiser has GREAT looks and AWESOME 350 CID V8 power as well... what's not to like ?! The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. Check out the AWESOME steel Pro Comp 15 inch wheels wrapped in BRAND NEW Mastercraft AXT white lettered off-road radial tires, they look OUTSTANDING on this FJ40 Land Cruiser & really retains that BADASS "Off-Road" look! All of the exterior body trim and moldings are in VERY NICE condition including VERY NICE Original badging, NICE ORIGINAL Front grill, NICE Diamond Plate side steps and rear body armor and a VERY NICE ORIGINAL Steel front bumper. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses & reflectors are clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL! This vehicle is in GREAT mechanical condition and it runs and drives VERY WELL! It is solid with respect to the overall mechanical condition as well as the overall cosmetic impression. Again, this is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Montana - Idaho High Mountain Desert - western vehicle and it shows ! I looked underneath and also included photos below. In my opinion, you're not going to find much nicer ORIGINAL floors than the one's on this BEAUTY !!
