Description of 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 - Chevy 350 - 3 Tops - A Blast To Drive! |
Get ready to tackle anything that comes your way with this 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40! This off-road vehicle features strong styling and an aggressive stance that captures the attention of all who see it. a Chevy 350 conversion mated to an automatic transmission... it will thrill you every time you get behind the wheel! Majority of it's life, this vehicle lived in Southern California and Arizona... It did spend a few years in Nebraska which accounts for the rust areas. Overall the body is in good shape but it would definitely benefit from some love and attention. The Rust appears to be surface rust except for a small hole in the driver floor board and the edge of the passenger front fender. I met with a local body shop and was going to have the body work done before selling... but wouldn't you rather have it done the way YOU want?!... so you know it is done right and it is the color your heart desires! The interior is in excellent shape except for a tear along the outside of the driver seat. Here is the perfect opportunity for you to acquire a great FJ40 that is mechanically strong and do the body work your way when you are ready! This FJ40 is mechanically sound including the following upgrades: Chevy 350ci V8 rebuilt under 5,000 miles ago New Fan, New Radiator, New Brake Booster, New Hubs, ALL UNDER 5,000 miles ago Mechanical work in June of this year to ensure that it runs like a champ: New Fuel Lines, Fuel Filter, Fuel Pump, Carb Rebuild, Front Axle: Wiper Seal Kit, Replaced Axle Seal, Repacked Bearings, Machined Brake Drums, Replaced Shoes. Rear Axle: New bearings, seals and brake shoes, one drum machined, one drum new.In August of this year rebuilt power steering box and new steering wheel (not pictured). Other Upgrades: Edelbrock high-rise intake manifold M/T valve covers Carter AFB Champion Series Carburetor Custom headers Dual exhaust with Cherry Bomb mufflers that exit at rear wheel well Rugged Trail Nitro Suspension Includes removable hardtop, Best Top Bikini soft top, AND Best Top Full Supertop! Removable rear swing gate spare tire carrier (not pictured) Doors are 2-stage removable (top frame is removable) Custom padded 6-point roll cage with passenger side grab-it handle and 5-point racing harnesses for both front seats Standard seat belts for daily driving 2 rear collapsible jump seats with lap belts Floor mounted B&M shifter Tuffy brand steel locking center console w/ drink holders Tuffy brand steel locking underseat storage box Rear floor spray on bedliner Viper alarm system w/ interior motion sensors, open sensors on doors and hood, w/ key fob control - hasn't been used in years and likely needs serviced by a Viper dealer. Alpine cd player with 4 infinity kappa 6" speakers 2 x 10" Rockford Fosgate Punch Subwoofers in custom mounted bedliner coated boxes - they will need an amp and to be hooked back up Things that need attention - Tires have lots of tread but are old and should be replaced. I would switch out the hard top bolts to stainless steel ones and get a new roof gasket for the hard top.Is available for inspection or test drives in Scottsdale AZ.Call 480-252-1451 with any questions!Seller can help arrange shipping anywhere in the U.S. |
