Description of 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser SSR |
Up for sale is a 1991 Hilux 4x4: the legendary and indestructible truck that top gear could not kill. These crew cab diesel pickups were never available in the US or Canada - this example has been imported from Japan. Because of this, the truck is right hand drive. People often ask me if it's hard to drive on the opposite side of the vehicle. I've never noticed any difficulty, and have driven this truck thousands of miles. Less than 100 miles ago I took the truck to a specialist (Back40 Imports - they specialize in Diesel Land Cruiser/Hilux imports) and had a full inspection performed - the results were that the truck is mechanically sound and "can be used as a daily driver as it sits right now." The truck has a clean Montana title and theactual VIN isLN1070000279. Ebay wouldn't accept the real VIN, so I had to add some zeroes. Drivetrain: 2.8L 4-cyl diesel (I got 24.5 MPG on a recent 500 mile road trip going over mountain passes) 5-speed manual transmission 4x4 transfer case with high/low range LN 107 - Independent Front Suspension 31 x 10.5 super swamper tires with less than 3000 miles on them. Interior: The interior is in great shape. There is a very small (2 inch) crack in the side of the driver's seat. Other than that, no rips and tears. The headliner is in great shape: no stains, no sagging, no punctures. Dash is also in good shape with no cracks. Upgraded head unit and speakers. Exterior: The paint shines up, but is definitely tired. There are a lot of scratches on the hood and some on the doors. Small amounts of surface rust have caused bubbling around the wheel wells. I've included detail shots of these imperfections. Rust: There are minor spots of surface rust around the wheel wells, but it could be removed very easily. The bottoms of the doors are rust-free. The frame has some light surface rust, but is completely solid. Sale Conditions:$500 nonrefundable deposit followed by full payment via wire transfer or cash within 7 days. |
