Title is clear in Arizona. Vehicle history Reports. (Please see original window sticker and invoices) Truck History In 1989 I purchased the Toyota from my close friend who purchased the vehicle new in 1983 from a dealership in Portland, ME.I have most of the original paperwork from my friend who purchased the vehicle including the original window sticker. In 1983 my friend took a job with the U.S. Navy in Southern California and that is when I first met my friend and saw the truck. My friend, who I worked with, is just as meticulous as me about vehicles. He painstakingly cared for the truck until 1989 when he was assigned overseas and sold the truck to me. The trucks entire life was in Southern California until 2013 when I retired and moved it to my climate controlled garage in Lake Havasu City, AZ.This is where the vehicle is currently located. It was titled in California until 2013. The entire time my friend and I owned the vehicle it has always been garaged and under a cover.Even when it was driven outside and parked it a cover was put on it most of the time. Vehicle Maintenance This truck has been maintained meticulously. The oil and fluids have been changed frequently and more often than the recommended levels.I have dozens of receipts that I have not dug out yet.Oil was typically changed 1500 to 3000 miles. Now that it is driven less than 100 miles per year I still change the oil yearly. The truck has run synthetic fluids most of its entire life.Even in the 80s when synthetics were real expensive my friend used them in the truck.I continued with the same. Over the years I have done most all maintenance including valve adjustments (infrequently needed) greasing, differentials/transfer case oil changes, coolant changes, fuel/air filters etc. Items I have replaced over the years include fuel pump, alternator, clutch master cylinder, belts, spark plugs, dist cap/rotor, hoses, rotors/drum, brakes.Approximately 15 years ago I had some transmission bearings replaced (this was a known weak point on the 5 speeds) so while out the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing were replaced. At that time I also had the driveshaft balanced since work was being done.It has not been driven much mileage since then.I replaced the air conditioning hoses a few years back, including dryer with original R12 refrigerant.Blows very cold cold air.The carburetor is original and was rebuilt professionally and that is when I replaced all the vacuum hoses.I always used original Toyota parts when possible. I drive the truck every one two months for about 5 to 10 miles. The only fuel I use is non ethanol fuel. Body and Interior The body is rust free with original paint and no accidents. This truck was rarely driven in the rain or wet.Only a few times over the years that I can recall. I have never taken this truck off-road. The vinyl strips you see in the pictures are 100% original. There is some peeling of the stripes but not much considering the age.The only painting I have had done is the valance under the front bumper. It had stone chips so I removed it and had it color match painted. After the pain, I installed 3M clear bra over the valance so it will never chip again. There are a couple of small door dings and paint chips but they are hardly noticeable except probably only to me.There is a small crease dent in the roof which came from a garage door. It was touched up with paint and I have included photos.I have been thinking about paintless dent repair but have not done it.The rear bumper has one small dent on the passenger side that the magnetic sticker is covering. It probably could be removed but it bothered me so a put the magnetic sticker on to cover it. The interior is immaculate as you can see from the photos. The seats had lambs wool covering their entire life and I just removed the covers for pictures.Brand new looking except for a small tear low on side of seat near levers.Carpet, dash, door cards are exceptionally well preserved. The original door speaker cover on passenger side has one fin cracked. Reason for selling I am a private owner and not a dealer in selling cars.In fact this is my first attempted sale on ebay.Throughout the years I have always loved cars and motorcycles.I keep vehicles and never sell any. This Toyota truck came to me at the beginning of my career all the way through the end when I retired. Now I have 10 vehicles which all are maintained in perfect shape.Too much expense and insurance costs to continue. If my Toyota sells it will be missed but hopefully enjoyed by someone who appreciates these old trucks and particularly one this well preserved. Summary I have known this truck since brand new and have owned it for more than 29 years. Its entire life it has been babied and cared for in a garage. It shows in the original paint and stripes which are stunning.Under the hood is spotless and the interior is immaculate. All the original manual, tool kit, jack and window sticker come with the truck. As a said above, I don’t believe there is another 1983 truck like this in such unbelievably clean documented condition anywhere in the U.S. NOTE: In Arizona the license plate does not remain with the vehicle when sold so you will have to make other arrangements if you plan to drive it home after purchase.Buyer:Upon sale or transfer of a vehicle, the registration for that vehicle is no longer valid.
