Up for auction is a 1964 Toyota Land Causer FJ40. This vehicle belongs to one of our employees we are selling it for her. It is not something that the shop has purchased or pawned. The vehicle was purchased new by her father in 1964, she was 4 years old and they drove it off the show room floor together. They nicknamed it “Little Red†A few years ago she attempted to have it resorted which did not go very well. The individual that attempted to do the restoration passed away during the process. The engine in the vehicle is the original engine with modifications. The electrical system was replaced. The drive train and transmission are original and have not been modified. The body was professionally painted with the original paint code from the factory. The seats have been recovered professionally and the seat frames are original they have been powder coated black. The glass is original. The front and rear bumper are not original. The frame has never been bent or damaged. The body has never been in an accident or damaged. To her best memory the exterior did have some very minor rust that was repaired during painting. The roof was replaced because of rust. The passenger and driver side floor board were rusted out and were repaired. To her best memory the instruments are original. This vehicle is not running now, it was running a few year ago but it set for a long while and now need some TLC. She is sell the vehicle because neither her or her husband are “Car People†They are not mechanically inclined to keep the vehicle serviced and running. this vehicle is not something that they want to have as a hobby or project.
