Description of 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser

71 FJ 40 built to go anywhere. Smog exempt in California! This rig runs great and is a surprisingly comfortable ride for sitting on 40" tires. Would love to keep it, but I don't use it enough to justify. Bought it from the guy who had the majority of the work done. I've just put the finishing touches on her. Here's a list of highlights/upgrades:-rust free body (hood has some oxidation, but just had it buffed so not too bad)-gm 350 v8 with Howell simple wiring, TBI injection and less than 10000 miles on the block-700r4 case professionally built with HD shell, corvette servo, kevlar bands, high output pump, low stall 1 ton torque converter. Uses two tranny coolers, one with auto temp electric fan mounted in the rear for low speed high heat environments. Art Carr shifter-HD output twin sticked 4:1 Dana 300 clocked flat-GM 1 tons with Yukon 5.38's and Detroit Lockers F and R, front Dana 60 narrowed to 64.5" with 35 spline outers and lockable hubs running WFO concepts Sightseer arms, custom built cv driveshafts with no vibrations. Rear is a 14 bolt cut down to 13 bolt for clearance at 63". the axles were narrowed for a better look for the fj body with the 40" tires and to fit on trailers and trails. -GM 1 ton steering with PSC hydro assist allow the tires to be turned with one finger and runs straight at 70 on the freeway. -professionally built family roll cage using a metal tech design with custom removable seat cradle and 5 point harness attachments with extra triangulation. The cage is also tied into the frame to make it independent of the body. -Rear forward facing seat that folds up for storage.-completely rebuilt 8274 winch with single solenoid and upgraded motor making it faster and stronger with on board and wireless remote controls. Soft winch line for reduced weight. -40" Goodyear mir's (still a lot of tread left) on 17" Allied beadlocks-28 gallon Aussie fuel tank vs stock 13 gallon.-dual yellow optima batteries (about 4 months old) mounted in the rear for weight distribution-vintage look Dakota digital gauges-bilstein shocks with custom extend shock mounts front and rear-custom built bumpers with HD attachment points-custom top dash with lockable storage-aftermarket side mirrors that attach to body rather than doors.-full hard doors as well as half soft doors-Never been used Pakistani soft top and original sifts bows that have never been mounted.-Full family length bikini top-marine stereo system with bluetooth and kicker wake board tower speakers and kicker sub.-Just serviced and not used since CO2 tank-High lift mounted to roll cage-Heater is not hooked up but I have all the parts in a bin along with a bunch of extra parts
