Description of 1971 Triumph TR-6

If you are looking for a great driver that has all the mechanics sorted out, his is the one!
Up for auction is my beautiful TR6. It is a great driver quality car with minor imperfections but has all of the mechanics sorted out. It is bright Red with the Black leatherette interior with the high back buckets. Probably one of the best colors for the TR6 next to BRG.
The body is straight with a few very small dents. No scratches or scrapes. A very small imperfection in the body on the top of the passengers door near the front (Pic Included). Also a few paint touch ups on the fender and right behind the drivers door. Three small cracks in the paint on the rear deck of the car right ion front of the boot/trunk. Chrome is driver quality along with paint. No beater here. NO RUST in the floors or body. Solid floors and trunk pan. Rare for an English car.
The interior is near perfect with custom Triumph floor mats that are new. The door panels, eat rugs and dash all fit tight and are very nice. The wood is in good condition and the varnish is not cracked or peeled. Gauges all light up. The new Retro Sound Radio with MP3/ipod/iphone works perfectly and sounds great with the top down. There is a newamplifier hidden behind the kidney panels with new speakers. The shift knob is has the Union Jack on it with TR6. Overall the interior is better then driver quality in my opinion and the seats are comfortable with newer foam in them. New trunk panels and carpeting.
The top is in really great shape too with a minor cut in it on the passengers rear side. The cut is about 1.5 inches long as was due most likely by being pinched in the top bows with the top was being put down. It is difficult to see in the photos. The clear plastic windows are Clear and still flexible not hard at all. Includes Tonneau/ Convertible top cover.
The mechanics on the car are in really great condition. I had professionally installed a new Electronic Distributor for a reliable starting system. You jump in a it fires right up with no hesitation. The TR6 uses a mechanical Tach so with the electronic Distributor being installed the Tach doesn't work. It can be switched back at any time as I have the original parts and the Tach will work perfectly. The coil was also replaced at this time with an upgraded coil. The battery was also replaced with higher cranking voltage. The Carbs were tuned and two carb line leaks were fixed. With all this being done it drives like a dream and most importantly with fire up every time. I live in Vegas and it gets very hot here in the summer and I had it out last weekend for a drive to the mountains . It ran COOL and didn't not overheat at all. Rare for a British sports car. It has never overheated as long as I have had it. I think this is due to the fan cowl around the radiator and fan. Again I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car on long road trips. The previous owner to me stated they drove it on many long trips with no issues.
The electrical system is in very very good condition with no problems. No frayed or dried out wires. All of the electrical works. All lights, urn signals, ven the glove box light works.
Tires are brand new with a few thousand miles.
Also included in this sale is about $2000 to $2500 in new extra parts in boxes if you want to turn this into a show condition car. A few of the parts are seat covers,carpeting, oor panels, hrome wheel trim rings, onneau covers, hrome individual carb air cleaners covers, 2) luggage racks, ew door handles inside and out, ew dash top, hrome bits galore. Way to much to list. Seriously it is like going through a Moss Motors catalog and picking one of everything for the cosmetic side. These will go with the car to the highest bidder.
