Description of 1961 Triumph Other |
1961 Triumph TR 3 This is a beautiful little Triumph TR3 in very good to excellent condition. It is the product of a quality older restoration that has held up excellently over the years. There are no signs of any damage or rust repairs & the older repaint shines very well. It has some very minor flaws in the paint as one might expect from an older restoration. I mention them because they are too small and insignificant to show up in the photos. This is a car you would be proud to drive to any show, ally or enjoy as a wonderful driver as it continues to appreciate. It has had the carbs recently rebuilt and new carpet added to the exceptional interior. The top, onneau, nd side curtains look almost new and fit great. All the chrome shines up nicely with the exception of the right rear bumper over rider which could be replaced easily. The tires were recently replaced due to age. All in all, his is a car that really needs nothing and is ready to blast through the country side on those beautiful warm fall days. These triumphs enjoy an almost cult like following and club support. They make an excellent entry level vintage car investment. Parts are plentiful and inexpensive and these are as easy to work on as a car can be. This car runs very well and everything works just as it should with the exception of the fuel gauge. It is a two owner car from Grand Rapids Michigan and has been serviced for years at the well known British car shop, niversity motors. It has always been babied and perfectly maintained. It accelerates amazingly and stops straight and tight. Corners like a 60's sports car should and is a true joy to drive. The current owner has decided to pursue vintage racing and therefor decided to sell this little gem. It has been kept in his racing shop and treated to a full going through so it is ready to go. Please call me with any questions or concerns or better yet come inspect it in person. It is well worth the time. The reserve is very low and below market for a TR3 in this condition. We fully intend for it to sell so please do your homework and bid accordingly. I have included 24 high resolution photos and these are an important part of the description of this car. Please take time to look them over. I can be reached for questions and inspectionsby phone at: 614-352-3434 We reserve the right to end this auction any time if the car is no longer available. I have listed and sold several classic cars from this collector with excellent results and feedbackand almost all of them sell prior to the end of the auction. This auction is a binding contract to purchase this car at your bid so please only bid what you are ready, illing and able to pay. This sale is not conditional on anything. Please do not bid until you are ready to buy. I require a $1,000 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit as soon as the auction has ended with the balance due no later than 7 days after the sale has ended. The current owner can store the car for up to 30 days while you arrange pick up or shipping. But it must be paid in full as described. |
