Restoration of this beautiful TR6 Roadster was completed in 2002. It has been garage kept ever since and has never been driven in or exposed to foul weather. All lamps, ights, witches, ages, mall motors, nd ancillary electrical components are in working order—as are the speedometer and tachometer. Runs strong, rives well.
Some recent upgrades completed: - Four wheel computerized alignment (2015).
- Five new Coker Redline tires installed (2015).
- New windshield installed (2015).
- Transmission rebuilt (2015).
- New water pump installed (2015).
- Engine valves adjusted (2014).
- Hydraulic brake and clutch slave systems drained and fluid replaced with DOT-5 silicone fluid (2014).
- Engine cooling system drained, horoughly flushed and refilled with fresh 50 percent solution of ethylene glycol coolant (2014).
- Battery replaced: Exide Classic (24-60) (2012).
Restoration highlights: - Car completely disassembled.
- Frame sand-blasted, ew prefabricated sections welded in where needed and then primed and painted using epoxy primer and chassis black paint.
- Body was stripped of all interior components and attachments (hood, oors, runk lid windshield frame, convertible top frame). Doors were disassembled. Everything was sand/baking soda blasted. New prefabricated body sections were welded in where needed. Everything was then primed and painted using epoxy primer and a Polyurethane Color Mix Paint followed by polyurethane clear coat finish.
- Bumpers and luggage rack were re-chromed.
- Suspension. All re-usable components were sand blasted, poxy primed and painted chassis black. New coil springs front and rear. New tube shocks in front and rebuilt lever arm shocks in rear. New ball joints, ie rod ends, nd universal joints (rear axels& drive shaft).
- Engine. New camshaft, ush rods, appets and timing chain tensioner.
- Exhaust. New stainless steel system from headers to tail pipes.
- Transmission. New clutch driven plate assembly, hrow-out brg., lave and fork.
- Differential. Examined by qualified technician and judged OK.
- Body Mounting. Re-assembly of body to frame utilized new mounting pads, trips, askets, eals, rommets, lugs and fasteners.
- Interior. New molded plastic transmission and tunnel covers, nder felt, nglish nylon carpeting, nd lower dash crash pad set. New sun visors, ear view mirror, love box and ashtray. New door mirror. Seat back bolsters & headrests were re-stuffed. New rubber seat bottoms installed.
- Trunk. New nylon carpet, nd trim kit.
- Convertible Top. New top cover, riginal equipment style (Robbins).
- Electrical. Rebuilt starting motor and relay. New ignition switch and windshield wipers switch.
- Original stainless steel rocker panel trim strips are available, n good shape, ut not installed (personal preference).
- Original aluminum wheel trim rings are available, wo are good, wo have some damage.
- Front fender quarter panel badges and rear fender British flag decals are available (not installed).
