Description of 1974 Triumph TR-6 |
For Sale: 1974 Triumph Tr689,000 original miles Exterior: The entire vehicle was repainted in 2013. It was painted the original color with acrylic lacquer. The paint is in beautiful mirror shape. The wheels were freshly powder-coated silver, and wrapped in brand new Douglas Xtra-Trac II 205/70/15 tires. The top is in very nice shape, not sure if it is the original or an aftermarket. All the windows are clear, no yellowing or hazing, and there are no tears in the top as well. The car also has a tonneau cover which covers the top when it is down, and can also cover the entire interior as well as shown in the pictures, or unzip half of it just for the drivers side. All the lights, headlights, taillights, turn signals, wipers all work great. The car is 100% rust free, the under body is so clean, you could eat off it. The car looks absolutely beautiful, some days, I just sit in the garage and admire what a piece of art this car truly is. Interior: The interior is mint condition. The previous owner, who did most of the restoration on the car, was very picky and specific. All new wiring was done on the car, so every single thing works. Though the only thing that is not hooked up is the windshield sprayer, which is pointless on a car like this. All the gauges were opened up and cleaned out, all the gauges operate in working order, as well as the green lighting inside the gauges. The wood dash was refinished and looks superb. The radio works great, but lets face it, who needs a radio? The seats are in perfect shape with not a single tear on them, as well as the door panels. The carpeting is very nice with matching Triumph floor mats. Mechanically: The car runs and drives like a dream. The previous owner did SO much work to the engine is it unbelievable. I am a little upset that I did not write down was was done since a lot of money was invested into the engine (and the car). Since then only about 2-3K miles were put on it. All the gaskets, seals, etc. were replaced as well. The engine was bored over, new push rods, springs, S2 Cam, etc. etc. I am not too familiar with these engines so I am not sure what else he had done. At the time, the clutch was also replaced. The suspension is great and drives like you are on rails! I have many extra parts that were accumulated over the years such as belts, fuel filters etc. as well as all the manuals and service records. Once again, the car runs and drives like a dream. If you are looking for a near perfect Tr6, then this is the car for you. There is a lot of people selling these Tr6's for $15,000 and above, I believe what I listed the car for is a very fair price for you as a buyer. Though I am slightly negotiable on the price, so don't hesitate to give me a call or text. I can also send a video of the entire car as well as it running. Clean title in hand.
