1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia finished in dark Blue metallic over Gray interior. This car is very cool. The car came from California originally and moved to NJ here about 15-20 years ago, nd has been garage stored ever since. The VIN number reads-1412098556. The car was used for a while as a road race/vintage race vehicle. The fenders have upgraded real steel flares and look great. The person I bought the car from says he thinks the car has roughly 150K miles on it, hat I cannot verify myself. The car had a Corvair flat 6 cylinder engine in it while it was used for racing. The motor in the vehicle now is the original 1500cc 4 cylinder mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. The current tire/wheel setup is: Front- 205/40/R16 83W, ear-245/40/R17 91W, nd the brand is Dunlop matching all around, he tires are like new. The car is very clean considering the age. The paint job is decent, ot show however. I took tons of pictures all throughout the car and especially underneath. The floor boards have some rust, ut not nearly as bad as I have seen on other ones. The engine fires up every time first kick with no smoke on start up. The clutch grabs good and the transmission shifts smooth. The second gear syncro makes noise when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd. The front pan is solid with no rust, he rockers are solid, nd the engine area is solid as well. The car comes with a bolt on Roll bar that was used for racing, nd I also the console that holds the Radio. You will not find another around that looks like this one! Put a Porsche motor in here, ome suspension work, nd slicks and you have your self a very cool street/track car!Any questions please call me at 908-797-2669.
