Up for auction is a 1958 vw bus that I cut down to a open cab convertible. This bus runs great and has a strong 1835 dual port engine with dual carbs.(solex). It runs and drives great. It has a type 1 transmission out of a 1968 bug.....sot it is geared now to run like a car instead of a low-geared tank. It has BRM wheels and nice directional low profile tires. This is a daily driver kind of bus...just get in and go. I have owned it for several years and use it to go to the beach and run errands or take to work. It has no radio.... do have a fuel gage but have not installed it.. it has green carpet in back...5 seat belts total...2 in front 3 in back. It does not have a top. I keep it garaged and out of the elements. This bus is not pristine...its a driver and people absolutely love it! If you have further questions email me or call (949) 337-9041On Aug-08-15 at 08:13:43 PDT, eller added the following information: I do have the deck lid for the engine compartment....it is also painted metalic green ....I just never installed it. Furthermore, also have the piece of aluminum trim that goes in the back of the bus. The registration is current and I have title in hand. This was a panel van not a window bus....just an FYI....many people have asked.
