For Sale: 1981 VW Rabbit 1.6L Diesel L, anual 4 speed *194,000 mi -- Solid car, i>runs immaculately. 2,000 of total mileage was towing to and from Colorado to Illinois. *45-50+ mpg *Rebuilt engine at 188,000 mi -- Burns and leaks no noticeable oil *New clutch at 190,000 mi *Brand new front wheel bearings *Brakes are new *2 separate VW mechanics said it is the best looking undercarriage they have seen on a Rabbit of this generation(meaning very little rust under the car) *Tires are new -- 5,000 miles on them. Recently rotated *newer alternator *****Tow bar and mounts are included with the car! It pulls very smoothly. ALSO included-- magnetic tow lights. It's ready to be hauled! This has been my daily driver for 3 years now. I have loved it to no end!!! This is the funnest car I've ever owned, t is very zippy around town and will travel 75+ mph gladly. It is in great shape for traveling and I would trust driving it 8 hours at a time(Me being the limiting factor-- not the car :) ). I am selling it because my mother gave me her old car and I don't have time to do the upgrades to get it to perfection.
