Description of 1967 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon |
You are bidding on a 1967 Double Door VW Bus camper with factory cargo doors on both sides which is quite rare. Has some camper interior and bed - ready to be made into your ideal camping rig. This bus hails from the high dry desert of Arizona where it sat since what I believe was 1979 (the 1973 issued Arizona license plate on the Bus shows a 1979 registration sticker). The fact that it's been in the desert its entire life is very evident in the lack of rust and rot that is customary to these vehicles. This bus is super solid and will require very minimal rust repair to make it perfect. The pictures tell the story of its high and dry life. Also. 1967 was the last year of the famous split window design VW Bus made famous by Woodstock and the Grateful Dead! It was also the first year of factory 12v electrical system. This is a great chance to be ahead of the curve by starting out with a solid bus with easy repairs to make it a driver. It will need a motor and some tlc mechanically but thats pretty straightforward and way easier than building a bus around rot. Its fabulous and even the nose is pretty darn tight needing minimal work compared to most. The belly pans are perfect. outriggers. jackpoints. lower nose. inner valance are mint. the wheel wells are great as well. If you have a good motor and some good fortitude this could be a great driver in a few weekends as is. Needs taillights and some interior work but has a z bed from a 71 westfalia that once permanently affixed will last as long as the bus. The bed cushions are great shape and black vinyl included with sale. I can make this bus available for inspection. most days I'm available by calling 9175332786 or by email pop. top@verizon . net. International bidders welcome. I can deliver to the port in Linden. NJ for a reasonable fee. I can help deliver the bus within a couple hundred miles for a reasonable fee as well for somewhat local buyers. I reserve the right to end the auction as its available locally and being shown locally to prospective buyers. I am super easy to get along with and have many many great bus parts and could be a superb resource for your future needs or more split buses. I do ask however please don't waste my time if you don't have funds and don't intend to buy this awesome timepiece that will only climb in value year after year. Thanks for looking more thanks for bidding! More pictures available upon request. |
