I have a spec'd 5/16 race vw bug ready to race. Only had one race done was the vegas to reno race. 1967 vw bug with all the race prep done and passed race inspection. here is a partial list of items. full roll cage and tube frame fuel cell parker pumper dual air system for driver and co-driver don hatz 1600cc single port engine hid and hella lights kenwood commercial band radio wired for race tracking system which you rent for the race from the sanctioning body lowrance gps harnesses fire extinguishers extra wheels and tires new yokohama and centerline 1000 dollar pelican cases for extra parts and gear X2 ( negotiable) hydrolic clutch cnc master brake cylinders all braided lines window netting all safety gear work done at norcal sand and off road tons of spare parts bilstein remote resevoir shocks this is a race ready vehicle that has a non-op currently and all up to date, because some of these races cross public roads you must register and insure for racing. The parts and work list is extensive runs like a champ and if you were to try to build your own it would cost you well in excess of 40k. Do the math and add up the price of the parts alone.
