This 1964 Notchback has just undergone a complete cosmetic restoration. Started out as a very well preserved car. Before restoration this car had only one repaint and still retained the original interior. Now has a PPG urethane paint job that has been color sanded and polished. Was not removed from the pan, not required as the car was in still great original condition. Still retains all original sekurit glass except windshield, country club decals in rear pop glass are original and date back to 1969. All glass was removed and reinstalled for paint work. Interior seats have been done in cloth and vinyl and are perfect. All original marker and taillight lenses.Original dash untouched and in excellent condition. Original headliner and steering wheel.New carpet in oatmeal color. Most of the jambs still retain the original German Rubin Red paint, even still has an original Mobil oil change sticker in drivers door. Trunks front and rear still have the original factory upholstery and boards. All original sheet metal.Engine in the car now is a type 3 1600. I do have what appears to be the original 1500 with many other engine assembly parts and can include with sale. Runs and drives great with the 1600and currently driving weather permitting. Heat exchangersand divertersstill intact and verygood condition, heat is disconnected right now since rarely neededin desert climate. Disc brakes in front and drum rear, has been changed over to the smallervw bolt pattern.A copy of the California title withprevious owner musicianBillie JoeArmstrong will be included with sale. Original owners manuals.Currently registered and titled to me. Rare to find a early notchback that hasn't been cut up or rusted away, this car has seen only conservative use and previous owners actually cared for it. Vehicle can be viewed in person by appointment. Cash sale encouraged. Vehicle willonly be released after all funds have settled. Will be sold as is.
