Description of 1983 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia

Have owned this beauty for a year and fixed a few things:
- New boot (rear axle left)
- new water pump
- new cooling and heater hoses
- regular maintenance and oil changes
- fixed dash lights
Upgrades!
- Removed the inefficient and problematic fridge and installed a GoWesty cabinet for extra storage (see photo)
- Removed interior carpet with flooring (See photo)
- Installed an electric floor safe (see photo) which makes hitting the trails, surf, or other activity easy without worrying to lose your keys or wallet
- Installed GoWesty child carseat anchors (2) and installed a middle seatbelt (professionally) in rear seat.
Other features:
- CD player with mini storage for tons of mp3s
- Pop-top and top bed works perfectly -- my three small kids sleep up there together. There are some very small holes in pop-top canopy.
- Stove and propane work perfectly!
- interior electrical outlets all work as well
This beauty has been to Oregon and back with no trouble!
Extras:
- Comes with rear mesh net that snaps in place so you can sleep with the back door up for warm nights.
- Comes with a front cover for privacy and sunshade that snaps on the frame around the front seats.
Things to address:
- New shocks will smooth the ride
- Side ride window needs a new screen
- Gas gauge and temp gauge come in and out if you hit a bump. My shop said this is an easy fix (loose cable) so I may take care of this my self if I find the time.
