Description of 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit

1981 VW rabbit pickup 1.6 turbo diesel.
Runs, drives, and stops. This truck is rough around the edges but does not have any rust on it. Starts easy and drives fine. I have not put a lot of miles on it since I bought it. It has a true 1.6 TD engine from a 86 Jetta. These engines are not easy to find and often cost around $1000 for a running one with a good turbo. Strut towers are clean. Driver floor pans have no rust. Front end has some dents and such from the previous owner. The right side next to the headlight looks pretty rough but it's not that bad. Previous owner was running no front bumper. I have a few bumper options that will come with it. Has external oil cooler for that sweet mad max look, but the oil cooler can be easily be removed. I do not have a grill for it.I have the matching hood if you want it. The Red one is straighter. Tires are decent. Brakes are a little soft.
