Description of 1977 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Champagne 1st Edition

This 1977 VW Beetle Convertible is a special edition, a Champagne 1st edition. VW produced one for each US dealer only, so there were about 1100 made. They are very hard to find today, because they were frequently mistaken for the later, "triple white" edition, which was much more popular. (This is NOT merely a "triple white")
The Champagne 1st ed. features unique Alpine White paint code L90B, unique Tiger Maple wood grain dashboard trim, leather wrapped SE steering wheel, 3/4" white wall tires, and a different interior than the standard white model.
This car has new floor pans so there's no rot underneath or in the battery area. The engine starts easily, idles smoothly, and accelerates strong. The odometer shows 2800 miles but has likely exceeded its mechanical limits. The paint finish is clean and exceptionally shiny, with only a few minor surface blemishes. There are no dents or dings in this car. The top is like new, with no tears or holes. The glass is perfect. The interior is like new.
Everything maintenance related has been addressed within the past year, including:
- brake system - incl. master cylinder, wheel cyls, shoes, and drums
- ignition system - incl. battery, ignition, coil, plugs, wires, distributor
- fuel system - incl. carburetor, fuel pump, fuel lines, emissions, cap
