1981 VW Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup Caddy, runs great is currently my daily driver. Is a diesel, the engine was rebuilt in 2016, less than 10,000 miles on the rebuild. The tie rods, ball joints, brakes, heater fan have been done as well. Just replaced the injector pump this spring with a rebuilt unit. Also I relayed the headlights so they would be brighter. When I bought it, it had been sitting for a couple of years and has the original blue interior in great condition, only the headliner is taken out currently and needs recovered. The body is in really great overall condition. Comes with a roof rack that is custom made, a newer radio, plus the one that came with it, also the original wood grain panel for the dash. The tailgate has a protective cover on it as well and is in awesome condition. It is a five-speed manual and is fun and cheap to drive. No rust in the strut towers nor the windshield areas. It does have some rust in the driver's side floor pan and front fender. It does come with a rust free used driver's fender but the floor pan would need to be replaced for it to be completely rust free. The diver's side window seals are a bit dried out and it does make the window not go up or down easily but that should be a easy fit that I just don't have the time for. Also the canopy rear window hinge came apart so it wont hold open. Other than those issues, not bad for a 37 year old classic. Comes with all season wheels and tires, not the snow tires in some of the pictures. Thanks for looking, this is a great truck, you shouldn't be disappointed.
