1967 VOLKSWAGON BEETLE

This is our 1967 Volkswagen. It was purchased new in Northern California in 1967. We are the second owners. We purchased it from the original owner, a lady, who bought it when she was in her twenties and sold it to us when she was seventy. In about 1994 and less than 18000 miles ago her husband had it completely restored for her. It had a new motor and a new transmission and clutch installed at that time, the body was removed from the pan and any dents or dings were removed and it was repainted its original color, the belly pan was rust free and needed no patches, new upulstery and carpet were added and the car was reassembled. There is no rust on the body or underneath and it has always been garaged. After we got it we added a new steering box and a complete new front axle and all bushings. We also put new tires on it and had new brakes put on it. Everything works including the radio and heater. I believe someone could fly to Las Vegas and drive this car home to anywhere in the US.This was the first year 12 volt Volkswagen. It starts instantly and runs like a clock. In the world of classic Volkswagen owners many say that 1967 was the best year. I am 76 years old now and don’t drive it much anymore so we have decided to sell it.
