Description of 1992 Volkswagen EuroVan California |
This 1992 Volkswagen van is a European-market Westfalia full camper that was imported from Slovenia in 2019. Power is from a 1.9L naturally-aspirated diesel inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle driving the front wheels. I have recently serviced the van with a suspension refresh as well as a timing belt service, new brakes, a new soft top, and more. Camping amenities include a pop-top with dual bunk beds, a kitchenette, and built-in storage. This T4 Westfalia California is offered with a clean New Hampshire title. The body is finished in Caribbean Green (Karibikgrün-LP6M), while "Westfalia California" graphics may be seen on the front fender with stripes running down the sides. Both bumpers were factory-finished in black . A bike rack as well as a ball-type hitch are installed, while the tail lights, front corner lights, and side-view mirrors have been replaced. A fiberglass pop-top was included in this specification, and the grey tent as well as the surrounding seal were replaced by me. An area of corrosion found around the sliding door sill was removed and replaced with a new panel that was TIG-welded, sealed, and coated as shown in the gallery. The T4 van was never sold by VW in North America as a full camper, and only longer-wheelbase examples were converted by Winnebago for US distribution. This example rides on the shorter 115″ wheelbase, and the 15″ five-spoke alloys are finished in silver. I have also rebuilt the front uprights with new bearings, replaced the front ball joints and tie rod ends, and installed Bilstein shocks all around. An alignment was conducted after work was completed, and photo documentation of the refresh process may be reviewed in the gallery. The front seats, door panels, and rear bench are upholstered in a patterned grey cloth. An aftermarket system has been installed in place of the factory cassette stereo, and additional gallery photos show the heating controls and switchgear. 178k kilometers (~110k miles) are shown on the six-place odometer. The Westfalia-Werke build tag is shown in the gallery along with a tour of the camping equipment. Amenities include built-in cabinets, curtains, lights, bunk beds, and rotating front seats, as well as a kitchenette with a sink, stove, and refrigerator. Power comes from a 1.9L diesel inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. In addition to a timing belt service,I have replaced the vacuum pump gasket, oil breather O-rings, water pump, coolant tank, and starter. Further maintenance included rebuilding and resealing the diesel injection pump, a new oil filter housing gasket, an oil/filter change, and a new thermostat. Both drive shafts were rebuilt and repacked with fresh grease and CV boots. The brakes were refreshed with new rotors, pads, and dust shields at each corner. Additional underbody images are provided in the gallery showing the suspension, floors, and more. VIN WV2ZZZ70ZNH048881 is correct VIN, Ebay wouldn't accept it due to being European VIN Swift transaction is expected, as well as common sence. Van is in Hampstead New Hampshire, I can provide 20 day tag if needed ( not for MA residents, per Massachusetts law ) Van is sold AS-IS and where is. Please ask questions BEFORE you bid.
