Description of 1971 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon |
Up for auction is a 1971 VW bus tin top camper van. This guy is good to go for another 50 years. Just about everything mechanical has been replaced, gone through, or inspected. It has spent it's whole life in Arizona and southern California. It is a rust free, and nice straight van. The 1600 DP motor has been completely rebuilt, along with most components on the engine, and comes with warranty along with the 4spd. transmission. Those warranties are only good for the state of Arizona, and where they were rebuilt. In other words you must live in Arizona for the warranties to be in effect. Other wise it is as is. Here is a partial list of what has been done to the van for the past 15 months. Rebuilt 1600 engine, 6 months or 6000 miles. Limited Rebuilt 4 spd transmission 6 months or 6000 miles. Limited New Paint: Inside and out, incl. engine compartment- Base coat clear New upholstery New front door seals New windshield New shifting components front to rear New Brakes and system New wiring: All lights and blinkers work New fuel tank and sending unit New door and kick panels New rubber, front floor, new carpet in rear New lights and lenses all around New front seat belts-rears are there and work All the windows work like they should, as well as the doors and handles. The tires are at 80%, and they came with the van when I got it. I've tried to describe this bus as best I can, so if you have any questions, please ask before you start bidding. That way there is no confusion. I urge anyone who is interested in the van to come by and check it out in person. If you have less than 10 dealings on ebay, please contact me first before bidding. A $1000 deposit is due immediately following the end of the auction, and full payment is due with in 3 days.It really is good to go for another fifty years as long as it is taken care of. |
