This is an original three owner 57 Beetle. Looks like it's had a very high quality repaint several years ago. I would rate the paint a 8.5 on a scale of 1-10.The VW Birth Certificate confirms that this is a matching numbers car and is the original color (Horizon Blue) that it left the factory with on May 5, 1957.This is a US Car that was delivered to a military person that was stationed in England. It made it's way to New York in 1962 and stayed there through 1997. To the best of my research it came to Maine shortly after that and this where I found it. All of the original dealer jackets and owner's manuals are with the car. It also has the original tool kit, jack, and spare tire.I just had a new Die Hard battery installed along with 4 new 165/80/15 radial tires that replaced the 45 year old bias ply tires that looked almost new.This is a totally original rust free car and I have several under carriage pictures that I will be glad to email.This is a very honest Oval that runs as good as it looks. The transmission shifts smoothly and the brakes work as they should. Service just completed included valve adjustment, new plugs, battery, and carb adjustment.I am glad to help with shipping arrangements at the buyer's expense.I have two shipping quotes from interested bidders.
