Up for sale, 1969 VW Type 3 Squareback! Purchased in 2015 and restored in 2017, daily driven up until CA lock-down... This Squareback was taken down to bare metal for restoration, rusty panels/floor pans were replaced, engine and transmission were removed and cleaned(not rebuilt), entire brake system was redone, and all suspension components were replaced or reconditioned. For a full walk-around and drive, please check out the YouTube video: https://youtu.be/2HXRajxQNJ0 INTERIOR - Upholstery, headliner, door cards, and carpet kit from TMI Products - 6.5" front speaker kick panels - Wiring for amplifier under passenger seat - Entire floor pan and roof was covered in sound-deadening material - Doors lined with moisture barrier EXTERIOR - Finished in TCP Global Black Diamond Firemist - Shaved plate light, front plate bracket, and rear fender inspection holes - Custom aluminum sunroof rail kit from ISP West - Re-chromed bumpers from ISP West - All new reproduction trim pieces from ISP West ENGINE/TRANSMISSION - Shaved engine bay - Alternator conversion - J-tube conversion - Custom exhaust with stinger pipe - Engine rebuilt years ago by previous owner - Great compression - Original fuel injection - Automatic SUSPENSION - 1" Narrowed Type 1 beam conversion - Monroe air shocks - Front 2" drop Spindles - Rear IRS with custom Ridetech strut conversion - UA Sleeve bags used to build rear struts - Running on Airlift Autopilot V2 management - All rubber bushings replaced with Urethane - All wheel bearings have been replaced CURRENT ISSUES- Odometer has stopped rolling- Clock is not working- Dash pad may need to be replaced- Normal rock chips, small dents, scratches from typical daily driving - Received full tune-up in December but will probably need a refresh as it has been sitting - Normal interior wear and tear - Will need speakers and an amplifier, was working on converting to Bluetooth before it was parked - Spacers are needed in front as the 14x6 wheels scrub trailing arms on hard right-hand turns - Headliner is in OKAY condition but could use some work |
