LOW MILES 1988 VOLKSWAGEN CABRIOLET

Back up for sale as buyer fell through...selling this low mile 1988 Volkswagen Clipper Cabriolet. This car was owned by the same woman for 21 years and has only 56,900 miles and a clean CARFAX. It’s a Florida car and as a result some of the body panels had been repainted due to faded clear coat. I also had the fender flares and bumpers repainted for the same reason. It does have a few small scratches and chips, but a paintless dent guy took out all of the dings. The color is a relatively rare bronze grey metallic and looks awesome with the tan houndstooth cloth interior. The top was recently replaced and is in excellent condition. The wheels are OEM “tarantulas” and are fitted with brand new tires. The interior is in overall very nice condition with a few small blemishes. The seats have no rips or wear showing. The original tan boot cover is also in excellent condition and new custom front floor mats were installed. All the gauges and electrics work as they should and It has an aftermarket stereo. Mechanically, the transmission is a new rebuilt replacement due to a bad third gear syncro. All the shifter bushings were replaced, the timing belt was replaced, the fuel injection was gone through and the control pressure regulator was replaced with a new one. New front brake pads were installed. The a/c was converted to 134a. The oil and filter were changed and MTL synthetic was used in the transmission. This car now starts, runs, shifts and drives excellently. This car would make a great Christmas present!
